Carcharhinus albimarginatus (RÜPPELL, 1837)

 

Description after BASS et al. 19735: [#130]:

The teeth of a 163cm female C. albimarginatus from west Madagascar are illustrated in pl. 1. The cusps of all the teeth have serrated margins although these may be difficult to detect with the naked eye in teeth from the lower jaws of small specimens. Sexual differences are not apparent in the teeth of the few adult specimens examined . The usual tooth count (among 17 specimens) was 13- 1 or 2- 13/ 12- 1 or 2- 12.
