Smithsonian Contributions to Zoology, (540): i-iii, 1-19: Bigelow and Schroeder based the description of E. bullisi on the holotype and three other specimens (which they called "additional material"): 205 mm female and a 230 mm, immature male, both from the same locality as the holotype, and a 212 mm immature male from "Pelican" sta 51, off eastern Florida.
