Description
Original diagnosis after Klug, Tütken, Wings, Pfretzschner & Martin, 2010 [9932]: A species of Jiaodontus gen. nov., which can be diagnosed and distinguished from the only other named member, J. vedenemus gen. et sp. nov., by (1) labiolingually compressed tooth crowns and (2) convex mesial and distal cutting edges between the cusp and first pair of cusplets, (3) less curved crown in labial and lingual views, (4) more regular labial ornamentation, (5) a lingually more slightly convex cusp face, and (6) a less prominent vertical ridge on the lingual cusp face.
