Description
Original diagnosis after Klug, Tütken, Wings, Pfretzschner & Martin, 2010 [9932]: A species of Jiaodontus gen. nov., which can be diagnosed and distinguished from the only other named member, J. montaltissimus gen. et sp. nov., by (1) labiolingually wider tooth crowns, (2) less well-demarcated cusp and cusplets, (3) markedly curved crown in labial and lingual views, (4) more irregular labial ornamentation, including flexuous ridges, (5) a lingually very convex cusp face, and (6) a prominent vertical ridge on the lingual cusp face.
