Description
Original diagnosis after Rees, 2010 [12633]: As for genus: Orectolobiform shark that can be diagnosed by the following combination of dentition characters: (1) high degree of monognathic heterodonty; (2) anterior teeth with a high and slender cusp; (3) very thin cusplets or short lateral blades in anteriors; (4) lateral teeth considerably lower with single pair of diverging cusplets; (5) flattened, triangular cusp in lateral teeth; (6) a single, strong and centrally placed labial ridge on the lower part of the tooth; (7) well-defined labial apron; (8) hemiaulacorhize stage of root vascularisation.
