Description
Original diagnose after Guinot et al. (2013) p. 610 [24889]: Hemiscylliid with moderate degree of gradient monognathic heterodonty. Laterally compressed and high anterior teeth with no labial ornament; lateral and posterior teeth with better-developed root branches and few labial folds on the apron and marginal angles. Teeth up to 2.5 mm wide, anterior teeth higher than wide. Main cusp triangular, elongate and lingually directed. Up to two pairs of short cusplets, lateral cusplet very poorly developed or absent in anterior teeth. Ornament variable from completely smooth crowns to common slight vertical lingual folds on each side of the main cusp, few folds on the lateral margins of the labial face, or occasional short folds on the mediolabial region (posterior teeth). Cusps of lateral and posterior teeth inclined towards commissure. Basal edge of the apron generally convex but occasionally straight to slightly bifid and strongly overhanging the root. Root hemiaulacorhize and heart-shaped with wide mediocentral foramen. Presence of a mediolingual foramen and of several marginolingual foramina.
