Description
Original diagnose after Guinot et al. (2014) p. 56 [20107]: Palaeospinacid teeth with gradient monognathic and dignathic heterodonty. Main cusp inclined distally and lingually with convex lingual face and flat labial face. Mesial heel devoid of cusplets. Up to three distal cusplets, low, triangular and well united by sharp continuous cutting edge. Labial ornament of strong continuous ridges originating from the margins or base of the main cusp and following the distal outline of the cutting edge. Labial folds oblique and bifurcating on the mesial crown region. Strong lingual crown ornament of short folds on margino-lingual faces, rarely on base of main cusp. Basal labial crown edge concave and strongly overhanging the root. Pseudopolyaulacorhize root bulky and high, concave in lingual view. Few large medio-labial notches and corresponding root expansions on basal root face. Supposed upper lateroposterior teeth asymmetrical and strongly inclined distally. Lower latero-posterior teeth symmetrical with strong labial ornament and occasional presence of mesial cusplets. Posterior teeth mesiodistally expanded, labio-lingually compressed and devoid of cusps.
