Description
Original diagnose after Guinot et al. (2014) p. 61, 63 [20107]: Orthacodontid teeth reaching up to 2 mm high. Erect biconvex and smooth main cusp with well-developed cutting edges Lateral heels very low, fine and oblique; not reaching the root marginal angles. Vertical labial bulge on basal edge of main cusp and labial root face. Basal angle of less than 40 . Pseudopolyaulacorhize root with strongly flared basal face, trapezoid in basal view. Short, labio-lingually developed and oblique root branches, in the continuity of the heels. Root with wide medio-lingual protuberance, depressed margino-lingual faces and oblique labial face. Presence of up to four shallowducts connected to wide medio-lingual and labial foramina. Monognathic heterodonty marked by lateral teeth with lower and wider main cusp variably inclined distally. Crown ornament of short lingual and labial vertical ridges; commonpresence of broad distal cusplet. Root labio-lingually compressed. Presence of supposed symphyseal teeth with sub-circular basal root face, narrow main cusp with a pair of lateral cusplets, irregular lateral heels.
