Description
Original diagnosis after Koot & Cuny, 2015 [21671]: Hybodont shark with a dentition consisting of small and elongate teeth with a fusiform apical outline and one extremity being more rounded. Teeth are symmetrical anteriorly and asymmetrical (antero)laterally and posteriorly. Arching is observed in crown and base of (antero)lateral teeth. The dentition shows a pyramidal main cusp with bluntly tipped apex, which may be slanted distally, and cuspidate crown. Lateral cusplets much reduced in posterior teeth. One extremity may be turned labially or lingually. Strong and apicobasally extensive lingual peg. Numerous nodes on the crown shoulder, joined by a circumferential rim. Well-developed cristae. Vascularization anaulacorhize but may resemble the pseudopolyaulacorhize type.
