Description
Original diagnosis after Grogan, Lund & Fath, 2014 [21768]: Small, nearly complete (60.4 mm, preserved to caudal peduncle), male, holostylic petalodont with chimaeroid style cranium (21.36 mm; 42.4% ethmorostral, 43.4% orbital, 14.1% oticooccipital) and nested branchial arches, compressiform body (anteriorly widest and deep, tapering posteriorly), two aspinous dorsal fins, enlarged anteriorly extended swimming pectoral fins, and with heterodont dentition arranged in tooth families of linguo labial replacement but differing in the number of tooth families between the upper (one median, five distal) and lower jaws (one median, four distal).
