Description
Original diagnosis after Thies, Vespermann & Solcher, 2014 [22054]: Teeth mesio-distally expanded. Crown with central cusp and up to two pairs of lateral cusplets, crown base overhanging the root. Central cusp high, bulky basally and pointed. Two pairs of lateral cusplets present in anterior and lateral teeth. Postero-lateral teeth with only three lateral cusplets. Lateral cusplets reduced or lacking in posterior teeth. Lateral cusplets of anterior and lateral teeth only little separated from one another and from the central cusp, not exceeding one third of the height of the central cusp. Apron and uvula lacking. Cutting edge present, running over central cusp and lateral cusplets, but being only little distinct on the central cusp in anterior teeth. Ornamentation of the crown consisting of non-bifurcating and widely spaced vertical ridges extending from almost the tip of the cusps to the base of the crown. Ridges becoming very coarse, high and acute on basal portion of crown. Ridges less distinct on lingual surface of crown. Enameloid composed of three layers. Parallelbundled enameloid (PBE, middle layer) lacking radially directed bundles of apatite crystallites. Root expanded mesio-distally, with a lingual protuberance. Root vascularization polyhemiaulacorhize. Horizontal series of large, slot-like foramina present on lingual root protuberance. Smaller foramina may also be present but are distributed randomly over the root surfaces.
