Description
Original diagnosis after Burrow & Turner, 2018 [26585]: Small scales less than 1.5 mm long, wide and high, with as few as three and up to eight high ridged odontodes generally angled to the posterior point and having new odontodes added anteriorly as well as posteriorly and laterally; weak or no side ridges on odontodes, which are separated from odontodes beside them by a space as wide or wider than the width of the odontodes; base larger than crown with diamond or subrhombic base outline; rare canal openings low on neck; wide pulp canal running longitudinally through base of each odontode; syncitial mesodentine in outer region of odontodes, odontocytic mesodentine and cell lacunae in base of odontodes; possible cell lacunae in lamellar bone base.
