Description
Original diagnose after Brito et al. (2020) p. 156 [26880]: Batoidea characterized by the nasal capsules with hornlike anterior processes; homodont dentition; teeth considerably wider than high; presence of well-developed median uvula; lateral uvulae not differentiated; pectoral propterygium extending as far as the anterior part of the nasal capsules; two radials articulating directly with the scapulocoracoid, between the mesopterygium and the metapterygium; the presence of two dorso-lateral nuchal cartilages, unfused with the synarcual; about 115–118 post-synarcual centra.
