Description
Original diagnosis after Wen, Zhang, Kriwet, Hu, Zhou, Huang, Cui, Min & Benton, 2023 [32065]: Lonchidiid shark with crushing type dentition; central cusp moderately blunt and slightly distally inclined, with two to six pairs of lateral cusplets, which diverge moderately from the central cusp; labial peg is moderate; central cusp is strongly ornamented with vertical ridges, extending to the labial peg and reaching the apex; a concave area existed on the crest of the labial peg; numerous short ridges start from the occlusal crest on lateral and posterior teeth; in lingual view, the central cusp displays several ridges extending from the middle ridge and separating in opposite directions, forming a chevron shape; lingual peg is prominent; heavier folds appear on lateral and posterior teeth; root fairly low; single row of small, rounded foramina present labially below crown–root junction.
