Original diagnosis after Brito et al., 2025 [34349]: Species of Distobatus characterized by small teeth, nar- row labio-lingually, and showing an ornamentation, in occlusal view, formed by delicate parallel ridges in the form of waves that follow each other (versus well-developed ridges in D. nutiae).
