Description
Original diagnosis after Begat et al., 2025 [35316]: A species of †Scapanorhynchus characterised by the combination of the following traits: Anterior teeth with single pair of divergent and needle-like lateral cusplets, smooth and non-continuous cutting edges between main cusp and lateral cusplets terminating in a notch between cusp and cusplet, numerous vertical, flexuous folds on lingual crown faces of main cusp and lateral cusplets, distinct lingual neck developed, short and massive root branches forming a broad, U-like concavity, and well-developed lingual root protuberance with short, vertical nutritive grove. Lateroposterior teeth with single pair of low and broadly triangular lateral cusplets, main cusp bit inclined distally, cutting edges continuous between main cusp and lateral cusplets, lingual neck present. Inconspicuous additional cusplet may be present between main cusp and lateral cusplet. Distal lateroposterior teeth characterised by successively decreasing main cusp height and increasing labial ornamentation from few basal short, vertical folds in the centre of the cusp to short, sometimes very pronounced vertical folds covering the mesio-distal distance of the crown base. Root lobes asymmetrical and divergent forming a broad concavity. Distal root edges rounded and tapering.
