Description
Original diagnosis after Heidtke, 2011 [35442]: ~ 35 cm in total length; slender and often eel-like body, neurocranium not ossified except for labyrinth; five Segments of circum-orbital ring moderately ornamented with a few tubercles; incomplete ossified jaws; broad gill-rakers arranged garland-like along gill-arches; ventral branchiostegal rays present in adult individuals; incomplete scale cover of body surface ending posteriorly of Shoulder girdle
