taxonomic remark: correct authorship is: Leriche, 1902 [3999]! Daimeries, 1888 [599] published only the new name "Galeocerdo vincenti" without description and illustration (nomen nudum), one year later Daimeries, 1889 [603] changed the ame to Scyllium vincenti, again with no description and illustration (nomen nudum), Leriche, 1902 [3999] described and figured this species for the first time as Scyllium vincenti
synonym of Palaeogaleus vincenti after Cvancara & Hoganson (1993) p. 9 [596];
