Short Description
Description after AKHILESH et al., 2014 [20519]: A small shark with a stout body and expanded belly. No labial furrows (a vestigial lower labial furrow may present), anterior nasal flaps broadly triangular. Head depressed, flattened and broad, rounded in dorsal and ventrally, mouth large and arched. Five gill slits, dorsolaterally placed and last two gill slits over pectorals. 1–3 gill slits subequal in length, 5th smallest. Eyes dorsolateral and slit like.
