Original diagnosis after Kirkland, Eaton & Brinkman, 2013 [20268]: Teeth of this taxon (Fig. 9.13) are the smallest and shallowest crowned of this genus. The teeth are the most poorly packed such that the teeth tend to be oval rather than well-developed hexagons or rhomboids. The top of the crown is rounded where it meets the sides of the crown and usually bears well-developed facets only on one side of the tooth. The transverse crests on unworn lateral teeth medially arch labially and flex lingually toward the margin of the tooth to form a distinctive handlebar moustache–shaped transverse crest.
