Description
Original diagnosis after Wang, Zhang, Zhu & Zhao, 2009 [4882]: Hybodontoid shark of about 490 mm total length; braincase with large, downturned postorbital processes, developed otic capsules, lacking postorbital articulation; long palatoquadrate and large triangular Meckel’s cartilage; two pairs of heteromorphic cephalic spines; low-crowned, multicuspid teeth with a few strong and curved folds, elongate tooth crown, stout crown shoulder with weak sculpture, and welldeveloped, rounded labial peg; tooth root higher in labial face than in lingual face; dermal denticle with a placoid scale-like form, crown surface ornamented with some parallel ridges.
