Description
Original diagnosis after Roelofs, Konigshof, Trinajstic & Munkhjargal, 2021 [30240]: Sharks with asymmetrical protacrodont-like teeth. Each tooth comprises a central cusp with one to four lateral cusps. The cusps are connected by a lateral carina with up to 4/ 5ths of the cusp fused with the laterally adjacent cusp. Prominent irregular cristae are present on the labial and lingual faces of each cusp, radiating from each cusp apex. Base is mesiodistally elongated and ovoid in outline. Two rows of pores occur either side of a labiolingually thin orolingual ridge that extends mesiodistally for at least two-thirds of the base. A row of pores is present below the crown-base interface on the lingual face of the base. A thin labial shelf extends most of the labial face. A row of pores is present within a thin concavity located on the visceral face of the base under the tooth crown.
