Short Description
Gill region with a prominent dark brownish collar [544]. Caudal fin with its upper lobe not elevated above the body axis, with a strong terminal lobe and subterminal notch but no ventral lobe [544].

Biology
Oviparous, paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk [733].
