Description
Original diagnosis after Thies, Vespermann & Solcher, 2014 [22054]: Crown with large bulky central cusp. One pair of small lateral cusplets present in anterior and lateral teeth. Lateral cusplets vestigial or lacking in posterior teeth. Apron and uvula lacking. Cutting edge running over central cusp and lateral cusplets, but being blunt and only little distinct on the central cusp. Ornamentation of the crown consisting of a few strong, widely spaced vertical ridges extending from almost the tip of the cusps to the base of the crown. Ridges on labial surface of the crown non-bifurcating, those on lingual surface may dichotomize in the apical part of the central cusp. Parallel-bundled enameloid (PBE) lacking radially directed bundles of apatite crystallites. Root bulky with a tabular basal surface, tongueshaped in apical or basal view, with the labio-lingual root diameter exceeding or least equalling the mesiodistal diameter. Lingual root protuberance well developed. Root also protruding labially. Root vascularization of modified anaulacorhize type, exceptionally of polyhemiaulacorhize type. Large foramina present on the labial and lingual root surfaces arranged in a horizontal series near the labio- and linguo-basal edges of these root surfaces. Smaller foramina may also be present but are distributed randomly over the root surfaces.
