Description
Original diagnosis after Rees & Underwood (2008) [2555]: Hybodont shark with a dental morphology separated from that of other members of Planohybodus by the combination of the following characters: (1) wide and robust, labio-lingually flattened cusp; (2) three pairs of well-developed lateral cusplets in upper jaw teeth; (3) ornamentation comprising non-branching folds reaching half the height of the central cusp.
