Distribution
Eastern Atlantic: known only from the type specimens taken from Mauritania to the Gulf of Guinea. Not in Compagno"quot;s 1999 checklist [529].

Biology
Oviparous, paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk [733].
