Short Description
Lower surface of the discus dark brown, darker in upper surface. Without definite markings, outer edges of pectoral and pelvic fins shading to darker [199].

Distribution
Eastern Atlantic: Denmark-Strait, Rockall Trough along Ireland, northern Bay of Biscay and Rio de Oro in Western Sahara, but possibly throughout the area in very deep water. Western Atlantic: north of 45°N [5130]. Source: www.gbif.org

Biology
Oviparous [7182]. Paired eggs are laid. Embryos feed solely on yolk [733].
