Description
Original diagnose after Fuchs et al. (2017) p. 252 [25903]: An orectolobiform shark characterized by the following combination of characters: the teeth are less than 1 mm in height and show a significant heterodonty. Anterior teeth are higher than wide, laterals are as high as wide, and posteriors are wider than high. The main cusp in anterior teeth is slender and sigmoid with a blunt apex. The cutting edges do not reach the apex of the main cusp. The well-developed cutting edges are continuous between main cusp and lateral cusplets. One pair of low triangular lateral cusplets in anteriors, two pairs in laterals and posteriors are present. The labial crown face of anteriors and laterals exhibits a characteristic ornamentation consisting of one prominent central ridge on the main cusp, neither extending to the apex of the main cusp nor the base of the crown. Additional ridges following the outline of the lateral cusplets occur mesially and distally to the main cusp. Posterior teeth lack this central ridge, but possess a continuous horizontal enameloid ridge following roughly the outline of the cusps from the mesial to the distal extremities of the crown . On the labial face a well-developed, flat but short apron overhangs the root and lingually a narrow uvula is present. The massive and high hemiaulacorhize root is broader than the crown. The neck between crown and root is very narrowed. At least one basal foramen is present in all teeth. Lingually two pairs of margino-lingual foramina and one central foramen under the uvula are present.
