Citation: Solinalepis levis Andreev, Coates, Karatajūtė-Talimaa, Shelton, Cooper, Wang & Sansom, 2016: In: Database of fossil elasmobranch teeth www.shark-references.com, World Wide Web electronic publication, Version 08/2026
Description
Original diagnosis after Andreev, Coates, Karatajūtė-Talimaa, Shelton, Cooper, Wang & Sansom, 2016 [24247]: The following paratype teeth were collected from the type locality, Mongolepid species with trunk scales crowns composed of tubular odontodes organized in sutured longitudinal odontocomplex rows. Acellular basal bone housing an elaborate canal system that opens via foramina on the basal surface. Radially arranged tuberculate to conical head-scale odontodes.
