Description
Original diagnosis after Kumar, Bajpai, Pandey, Ghosh & Bhattacharya, 2021 [29911]: Hybodont shark with crushing-type dentition diagnosed by a combination of the following characters: symphyseal teeth with a strongly bent, symmetrical crown (in labio-lingual view), with a weak occlusal crest and a weakly developed reticulate ornamentation; anterior teeth strongly arched, triangular, asymmetric, with a reticulate ornamentation on the occlusal surface and without a crest on the crown; antero-lateral teeth with a sub-triangular to rhomboidal occlusal outline, more elongate and less arched than the anteriors, with a coarsely reticulated ornamentation, and without a longitudinal crest on occlusal surface, root perforated by several small and large foramina; lateral teeth with a noticeably thin crown (~ 3 mm) with a parallelogram-shaped occlusal outline, occlusal surface nearly flat or gently sinuous due to slightly domed mesial and distal extremities; occlusal surface lacks any trace of a crest; ornamentation consists of a finely pitted, reticulate pattern, passing in to vertical ridges at the crown edges.
