Ovoviviparous, embryos feed solely on yolk [733]. Distinct pairing with embrace [17086]. Gives birth to litters of 2 pups after an unknown gestation period; no apparent reproductive synchronicity. Largest embryo recorded was 32 cm TL [2539].
