Description
Original diagnosis after Guinot, Cappetta, Underwood & Ward, 2012 [17161]: As for the genus: Batoid with small teeth characterized by strong monognathic and possible dignathic heterodonty. Crown with well developed transverse crest and acute marginal angles. Labial visor with straight lateral margins and well developed median margin protruding labially in anterior teeth; lower part of labial visor ornamented with folds and pits. Straight lingual face in profile view; well-developed median uvula with pointed basal extremity; median uvula of anterior and anterolateral teeth digitiform with strong constriction at its base and separated from lateral uvulae by a pair of notches. Lateral uvulae little developed and flared with pitted ornamentation in lower part. Rather high holaulacorhize root, commonly asymmetrical and projected lingually; basal face of root lobes convex; root lobes with well-developed lateral margins.
